CTER delivers strategic, field-tested interventions across emergency channels to secure immediate survival and stabilize displaced families throughout Karenni State and surrounding border environments.
CTER distributes essential daily rations to internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and returnee villages that are currently facing severe food insecurity. To stabilize basic nutrition for these vulnerable communities, our emergency food distributions specifically provide sacks of rice, cooking oil, salt, and yellow split beans.
We are dedicated to protecting vulnerable families from harsh seasonal weather conditions and vector-borne diseases. To ensure their daily survival, dignity, and safety, CTER procures and provides life-saving Non-Food Items (NFIs), strictly prioritizing heavy-duty tarpaulins, mosquito nets, and blankets.
Karenni communities often face compounding crises. CTER rapidly mobilizes targeted relief for victims of sudden natural disasters, such as the recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake and severe summer storms. This emergency response directly supports affected households by providing cash assistance, emergency supplies, and critical construction materials like nails and roofing to help them rebuild their destroyed shelters.
To ensure that limited resources are directed to the most life-saving priorities, CTER conducts comprehensive, on-the-ground humanitarian needs assessments directly within the IDP camps. This critical, field-based data is then used to raise global awareness about the Karenni crisis and accurately guide interventions by international donors and humanitarian actors.
